An investment initiative has recently been introduced to private sector investors which allows certain private investors from the Kingdom and overseas to submit proposals to be considered for the award of a license to build, own and operate a world-class export refinery to be located in the Jazan Region, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Eight (8) private sector applicants from the Kingdom (KSA Applicants) were pre-qualified through an expression of interest (EOI) process to receive a request for proposal. In addition a number of identified international oil companies (IOC(s)) are also eligible to receive the RFP.
